This projects imagines a new Ministry of Happiness and Wellbeing for London, in one of the most prominent of locations, the Serpentine Lake, which signifies the importance of which a progressive new future society might hold such values.

This project explores the current struggles surrounding forest fires in Portugal. Set in the large, derelict agricultural estate of Rio Frio the project seeks to provide an economical and low-risk solution to the problem. A network composed of three distinct device typologies acts to detect, restart, and warn of fires, while safety pods provide safe refuges next to main roads. A manned station tracks fires across the country and suppresses them remotely via inflatable airships armed with water cannons. Newly established landscape guidelines force action to be taken to resolve land ownership disputes and return the Portuguese landscape to its traditional patchwork form.
